What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.


An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.



If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


Contact forms


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.


If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.


When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.


If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.


For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.


What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Rules & Regulations

These are the official competition rules for the ONE Artist Competition (the “ONE Artist”). By completing the ONE Artist submission form, you are agreeing to these rules.

Competition Details

ONE Artist has three components: 

1. Live Auditions: Thursday, October 17, 2019 and Friday, October 18, 2019

2. Artist Development Bootcamp: Saturday, October 19, 2019

3. Top Ten Finale Performance: Sunday, October 20, 2019

The Grand Prize

There will be one winner chosen.

The ONE Artist’s grand prize package includes a record deal with Young, Wild & Free Records; artist development and management services with Artist Alliance Company; vocal, performance and stage development training with Sing House Studios; a marketing and branding package including an artist website from FM Designsand industry networking opportunities.

Collectively, the Artist Alliance Company; Sing House Studios; FM Designs; and Young, Wild & Free Records (“ONE Artist Organizers”) will work with the ONE Artist winner to develop, write, produce, record, brand and market a single for international release in 2020, including a live performance. The ONE Artist winner’s pre-approved expenses, including recording, production and travel costs related to the prize package will be paid by the ONE Artist Organizers

The prize package is not redeemable as cash and is non-transferable.

Participant Eligibility Criteria

ONE Artist is open to Ontario applicants.

ONE Artist is open to single vocalists, duos and full bands. All groups must have at least one vocalist to be eligible.

If you are under the age of eighteen, you must be accompanied by your parent or guardian to all activities related to ONE Artist.

A mandatory live audition is required for all participants residing within a 250km radius of Ottawa, Ontario, and such audition will take place in Ottawa, Ontario, on either October 17 or 18, 2019. Participants residing outside of a 250km radius of Ottawa, Ontario may submit a video audition, so long as the video has been submitted, as further outlined on the ONE Artist web site, before October 7, 2019.

Applicants must be available to attend the ONE Artist bootcamp (Saturday, October 19, 2019), the ONE Artist semi-finals and the top ten finale performance (Sunday, October 20, 2019) in Ottawa, Ontario.

All participants must complete the registration form on the ONE Artist web site in full to be eligible.

The audition song may not exceed four minutes in duration. Covers and original songs are accepted.

All music styles and genres are acceptable.

You shall declare to ONE Artist in your registration form if you have any pre-existing contractual obligations that may prevent you from participating in ONE Artist or winning the grand prize, including but not limited to having a non-exclusive or exclusive agreement with a record label, distributor, publisher, representative (manager or agent), merchandise partner and/or other entertainment industry contractual obligations. If any such obligations should arise after you have registered, and before you have auditioned, you shall contact ONE Artist to advise them of your amended circumstances.

If you are chosen as the ONE Artist winner, you must be available for up to three weeks in 2019 or 2020 to travel and work with Artist Alliance Company, Sing House Studios and FM Designs. Dates and schedules will be chosen at the discretion of the ONE Artist Organizers taking into account your availability.

These eligibility requirements may be amended, at any time by the ONE Artist Organizers in their sole discretion.

The ONE Artist Organizers, Lonestar Texas Grill and all industry partners related to the contest are not responsible for any injuries incurred at any activity related to ONE Artist.

If you are accepted into the Semi-Finals you will be required to sell ten tickets to the showcase. Tickets will cost $15.00. There is no cost for the Bootcamp.

Top Ten Finale Performance

If I am chosen to be one of the top ten finalists, I agree to perform approximately two (2) songs on my own, and at least two (2) songs with other finalists, for the top ten finale performance which will take place on Sunday, October 20, 2019.


You must submit a head shot and biography to ONE Artist, as further outlined on the ONE Artist web site.

For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is acknowledged and accepted, I hereby irrevocably grant the following rights to ONE Artist Organizers: (a)the right to photograph and record my audition and performance in the top ten finale performance, for promotional purposes, worldwide, in perpetuity, in all media and forms of expression and communication now known or hereafter devised, and (b) the right to use my name, images, likeness and biographical material in connection with the promotion of ONE Artist and its activities. I confirm that I have the right to provide such rights.
